The term of the office of the present Executive Committee of the RMS ends on March 31, 2019. The new Executive Committee will hold office for three years with effect from April 1, 2019. Nominations were received for certain posts and elections were held subsequently.The new Executive Committee of the RMS for the period April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2022. This consists of:
The Secretary would like to thank all the ex-EC members and also the life members of RMS for the support he received towards the efficient functioning of RMS during the past three years.
He also acknowledges the enormous help received from Prof. J.K. Verma while serving as the Returning Officer for the RMS elections held in March.
The new executive committee looks forward to continued support from all the members to strengthen RMS and to play an active role in spreading the culture of mathematics in society.
Monday, March 25th 2019
The members of the committee appointed for counting of the votes for various posts of RMS met at 11:30 A.M. today at the Department of Mathematics at IIT Bombay. Prof. Ajit Kumar of ICT, Mumbai was present as an observer. The total number of votes received were 248 . Distribution of votes to various candidates are as follows:

The RMS members whose membership is to be approved only in the 2019 annual general body meeting are not eligible to vote in this round.

Counting of votes will take place at 11.30 on Monday, 25, March, 2019.
Venue: Room 215, Mathematics Department.
Results will be declared on the RMS site and rms election site as soon as counting is over.

The ballot papers have been mailed yesterday to those members in India whose addresses are available with RMS. Members are requested to report to email@example.com if they do not get the papers by 15 March. They will have the option of getting the ballot paper by email which they can fill and send by ordinary mail to:

Please do not sign the ballot paper but sign the envelope and write your membership number. This can be obtained using an online interface created at https://www.rmselections.org.
Deadline for receiving the ballot paper 6 pm 22 March 2019
Members who are abroad will also be sent the ballot papers by email and they can send back scanned ballot paper by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please fill the ballot paper in blue ink, scan and send a PDF file by 22 March.

Due to delay in processing addresses of members, it has been decided that the ballot papers will be mailed on 7 March by Speedpost. It may take 3-4 days to reach all the members.
The ballot papers are enclosed in stamped envelopes. Please fill it on the same day.
If you do not get the envelope of the ballot paper by 15 March, you may send an email to email@example.com to get the ballot paper by email.
You may either post it by email or send it by regular mail.
